There are so many things you could use when traveling. Here are some of our favorites.
My kids love using these to hike through the trails. Plus it's great for traction and support. And with multiple colors you can personalize them to your child.
Hydration Backpack
For longer hikes, my kids love using an hydration backpack. These are a favorite, they are small enough to fit well and they are lifetime guaranteed! We did have one start leaking and they sent us a brand new backpack and bladder.
We used these backpacks for each kid to carry extra layers, snacks and water bottles. Plus it was a great space saver, as it folds up to 6 x7" and less than 1" deep. Making it a perfect backpack to travel with.
My kids loved these hiking shoes. They were comfortable with great traction. With the velcro closure, it was easy to adjust the tightness as needed.
For travel and for hiking, we love having these water bottles. We have the 40oz bottles and our kids have the 32oz bottles. They keep our waters cold for the entire hike and do not leak.
Selfie Stick
Getting a good family shot is impossible without a selfie stick, especially on hikes where it's less crowded. This is a great one because it condenses down to a small size and can be used as a tripod.
My kids love to explore. With a set of walkie talkies we can let them explore but still be able to know where they are and how they are managing. These are not only fun but useful when hiking with kids.
We put one flashlight in each kid's backpack. Then we pack a few extras in our backpack. Our kids have had fun with these when we have explored caves or been on a hike in the evening.
Hiking Items:
Having storage for your electronic cables makes travel so much easier. We use in the car and bring it into the hotel or rental so all of our cables are contained and organized.
Car Back Organizers
These are a necessity for road trips! If you are tired of your kids trash, snacks, toys, etc. being tossed all over your car, this will be a life saver! Everything is within arms reach and your floors are open for other items or they just stay clean!
Packing Cubes
These make organization in suitcases so much easier! We use these anytime we travel. Everyone has their own cube(s) so that when we arrive they have everything organized. They are also space savers!
These are great for your toiletries. I have had great success using these without spillage! I love that they are bright and easy to find in my toiletry bag.
Travel Games
Travel games are a great addition to any trip. We love the SmartGames products but there are quite a few other games to choose from. Games are great for travel days as well as while you are winding down for the day.
Sunscreen is a must for all vacations. We love Badger Sport for our sunscreen needs. It is all natural and rubs in easily.
We love taking puzzles with us on vacations. It is a great way to spend quality time together in the evenings. We tend to start it on the first day and then work throughout the trip finishing it by the last day!
We use Terry Tethers for everything from the pool chairs, in the car to hold things off the floor, holding our bags while hiking and hanging swimsuits to dry. They are extremely versatile and work great in so many places as we travel.
